La AEEA participó en el homenaje a Miguel de la Quadra-Salcedo en el Ateneo de Madrid

La Asociación Española de Estadísticos de Atletismo (AEEA), a través de su presidente José Javier Etayo, participó en la jornada “Miguel de la Quadra-Salcedo, un reportero universal”, celebrada el pasado miércoles 22 de septiembre en el Ateneo de Madrid y organizada por la Agrupación de Geografía, Exploración y Viajes Álvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca, que preside el que fuera Ministro Portavoz del Gobierno entre 2000 y 2002 Pío Cabanillas, que a la vez ejerció como presentador del acto.

Etayo compartió mesa con destacados reporteros y periodistas de TVE que convivieron con Miguel de la Quadra-Salcedo como por ejemplo Alberto Vázquez-Figueroa, José Luis Márquez, Tacho de la Calle o Francisco Custodio, en una mesa redonda moderada por la también periodista de TVE Mayte Pascual. Durante el acto, además de recordar algunas de las grandes aventuras y exclusivas que Miguel protagonizó a lo largo de su etapa periodística, Etayo destacó su faceta deportiva, recordando algunos de sus logros y también presentando a los allí presentes el Memorial de la Quadra-Salcedo, que cada año recuerda su figura y en la que participan atletas destacados de diferentes épocas.

Sin duda fue una jornada muy emotiva para todos los allí presentes y una gran oportunidad de presentar y dar a conocer a la AEEA en otro ámbito distinto al deportivo.
